1. Confirm Your Booking!

If you love what you see and would like to book a photography session with me, you can get in touch by phone/email/contact form. I just ask for a small session fee to confirm a date & time with you and you can pay this by bank transfer or Credit Card. For newborn sessions, it is best to book while you are still pregnant. I keep time aside for you based on your due date and we confirm a date/time once bub is born.

Upon booking, I send you a confirmation email with all the information you should need. This confirms your appointment date/time, my address, plus advice on what to bring with you on the day and - most importantly - what to wear!

2. Pre Shoot Planning

When confirming your booking, you are also sent a questionnaire to fill in which allows me to personalise your photography experience. A few days before your photography session, we speak over-the-phone to discuss your answers. This allows me to customise your session to you and covers: your priority of portraits taken, what you plan to wear, and your preferences on poses/props/colours etc.

We also discuss your child's sleeping and feeding patterns (if applicable) so we can tweak your arrival time if need be. I love to be flexible with appointment times for my clients as I understand that your baby's feeding and sleeping patterns can change unexpectedly. I find this gives me the opportunity to achieve the best results, plus keeps everyone relaxed.

3. Photography Session

This is where the real experience begins! Studio sessions take place on my property in Emerald. I have a spacious and comfortable studio, so comfortable in fact that I've had new parents take a nap on my couch while I photograph their newborn! The studio is separate from my house, so it has its own entrance and there is also a toilet you can use.

I am lucky enough to have a sizeable yard, which is perfect for when toddlers are involved in a newborn photography session. Once their family & sibling portraits are done they can play outside with Dad if they are feeling restless!

When taking your photographs, I work with continuous studio lights - this means no harsh flashes! I also feel it allows me to capture more natural moments plus those fleeting smiles and cheeky expressions that your baby and children give me!

4. Ordering Session

During your photography session we will organise a date and time for you to return to the studio for your Ordering Session appointment, approximately 1 - 2 weeks later. You can also opt for a Zoom meeting, which is most helpful for families travelling a fair distance. The ordering session is the really rewarding part...... you get to re-live the fun of your photography session and view your precious photographs! It is best to have all decision makers present at this appointment as final decisions need to be made on the day.

I carefully select 20-50 of your best photographs to present to you as a slideshow, and we then discuss what products and packages may suit you. It is important to me that the Ordering Session is a pleasant experience and I use a program that makes the decision-making process easy and stress-free.

Ordering Sessions take approximately one hour and I guarantee no hard sales tactics! This appointment is the perfect time to ask me as many questions as you may have and also gives you the opportunity to view the products up close. The time is dedicated to you so I can pass on my professional advise and we can work together to decide what is the best option for you. My goal is to make sure you walk away happy and super excited to receive your photographs! I so often hear the words “I am so glad we did this” with parents leaving so thankful and excited to receive their photographs!

5. Collect Order

Upon taking your order, I will fully edit the photographs you have chosen and place any print or product orders. Your photographs are usually ready to pick up within 4-8 weeks (depending on how big your order is). You simply pick up your order from the studio in Emerald, or delivery can be organised in some circumstances.

If you take up a payment plan, your order will be processed once final payment is received so your order will be ready 4-8 weeks from then.
