What a year 2019 was! This was my first full year back after the birth of my son, and it was quite interesting to say the least! The market trends that I was familiar with a couple of years ago surely had changed but things picked up the 2nd half of the year and it was hectic in the lead-up to Christmas!
2019 saw me photograph more than 30 babies, alongside other young children and families - and not forgetting pets of course!

Looking back at all of these beautiful babies, I find it so hard to pick my favourite photography sessions. Each baby and family I meet come with their own little unique personality and I love being able to capture this and create forever memories for them.
I think the main thing I learnt this year is that I just love to photograph newborn babies awake as well as sleeping, and I started to integrate these portraits into my sessions more.
The end of the year also saw me photographing two sets of female twins, one as newborns and the other as 4 month old babies. Funnily, I also have another set of female twins I will be photographing in January 2020. What are the odds?!
As 2019 comes to a close, I look forward to 2020 and capturing many more memories for local young families.
